Kochi: Differences in groupism-ridden Congress have surfaced in Kerala with senior party leader Adoor Prakash, MP, on Thursday flaying Chief Minister V D Satheesan openly for not informing him about key decisions of the government.Prakash, who is the Convenor of the Congress-led front, accused Satheesan of “keeping Prakash in the dark about important government decisions.”Addressing a press conference, Prakash blamed the Chief Minister for not taking the initiative to convene the UDF meeting. Prakash lamented that several decisions taken by the government were “through the media.”The Cabinet decision to appoint IUML leader M K Muneer as chairman of the State Administrative Reforms Commission and Forward Bloc leader G Devarajan as the State government’s representative in New Delhi with Cabinet rank. Prakash said he will convey his concern over the matter to the Congress leadership.Many of the posts in the government are still held by individuals appointed by the previous CPI(M)-led LDF government, he observed.Prakash pointed to a lack of coordination in the UDF for the setback suffered by the Congress-led front in the local bodies bypolls held for 38 wards. The electricity crisis had also caused dissatisfaction among the people, he said. Regarding Satheesan using sponsored chartered flight, Prakash said the Chief Minister should explain explain such issues in a convincing manner.
