Kochi: The Directorate Enforcement (ED) on Tuesday launched a massive raid in at least 12 places in Kerala in connection with alleged fake CSR fund scam under the pretext of offering things including two-wheelers and laptops at heavy discount.
The raids were happening in establishments of key accused Ananthu Krishnan and others including Congress leader Laly Vincent’s house in Marine Drive. Laly who is the seventh accused in the case is on anticipatory bail.
Denying the charges, she said that the money received by her from Ananthu Krishnan was her fees for legal consultation.
The raids are part of an ongoing investigation led by the ED’s Kochi office, following a case registered under black money and gambling provisions.
Over 60 officials were engaged in the raid in connection with scam.
Ordinary citizens were duped into paying for scooters through misleading half-price deals which were reportedly laundered as black money. Krishnan is accused of giving ₹1.5 crore to political leaders in Idukki and Krishnan acquiring land in four locations.

Those under scrutiny of the federal probe agency are politicians, electronic dealers, automotive dealers and cooperative banks and a fertiliser maker.
