Kochi: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) raided many offices of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in connection with a money laundering probe on Thursday, media reports said.
The raids were held in places
including New Delhi and state offices across the country following the arrest of SDPI president M K Faizy on Tuesday.
The ED’s operation spanned 12 locations, including Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram, Bengaluru, Nandyal, Thane, Chennai, Pakur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Jaipur.
The ED had previously claimed an “organic” link between the SDPI and the Popular Front of India (PFI)
which was banned in 2022.
