Kochi: A six-year-old girl was abducted for a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from Kollam in a car while she was returning home from school with her brother, media reports said.The abductors came in a white car and dragged Abigel Sara and into the car when Abigel and her eight year old brother Jonathan reached near their house where their grandmother was waiting at Maruthanampally Road near Ayoor around 4.45 pm,, the reports said.
The kidnappers made an unsuccessful attempt to abduct Jonathan who managed to free himself from their grip, the reports said. The abductors called her mother and demanded the ransom, the reports said.
The phone call was traced to a location in Kollam. The abductors came in a white car occupied by three men and a woman. A statewide search has been launched.
