Kochi: Kerala High Court on Wednesday slammed Kerala government for sitting for over four years on the report of Hema committee on sexual harassment and exploitation of women in Malayalam film industry.
A division bench of the court directed the state to handover the sealed report to the Special Investigative Team (SIT) set up to probe allegations. The court directed the SIT to submit a comprehensive affidavit in a sealed cover.
The court asked the SIT to determine the appropriate course of action while respecting the privacy of all individuals involved. The court directed the SIT not to divulge details to the media. The court also rejected the government’s concerns over the media trial.
