Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ordered issue of notices to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and daughter Veena Vijayan on a petition filed by Mathew Kuzhalnadan, MLA, of Congress seeking a probe into the alleged CMRL-Exalogic financial transactions, media reports said.
The matter reached the High Court after
Kuzhalnadan challenged the ruling of the vigilance court which had dismissed his plea in the alleged payoff case citing absence of sufficient proof.
Agencies including Directorate of Enforcement are already probing into the case involving the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) and Veena.
The agencies are probing money laundering charges of CMRL paying Rs 1.72 crore to Exalogic Solutions owned by Veena for offering software services to it
As per the contract, a monthly payment of Rs 5 lakh was to be given to Veena and Rs 3 lakh to Exalogic Solutions. The Kochi-based company had given Rs 1.72 crore to the IT firm from 2016 to 2018, the reports said.
