HC rejects CMRL plea

Kochi: The High Court of Kerala on Friday dismissed the CMRL plea challenging the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) probe against it.
CMRL’s plea seeking two weeks’ freezing of the verdict to move the Supreme Court to challenge ED probe was also rejected by the High Court.
CMRL arguments that ED cannot go ahead with the Money laundering case without registering ECIR was also rejected by the court.
Former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan is one of the accused in the case.

ED had raided different locations the other day after a single bench of Kerala High Court rejected CMRL plea against the ED probe. Following this the CMRL had oved a division bench challenging ED probe.
