Kochi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday announced his resignation without waiting for the floor test tomorrow.
The resignation comes at a time when
the Supreme Court has rejected his plea to stay the floor test in the assembly tomorrow. Announcing his resignation through social media, he said he was thankful to NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
He said his priority was to do good to Maharashtra.
His government became a minority after about 50 members from the ruling bloc joined hands with Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde.
