Kochi: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s visit to Kerala with his family has gone viral for his simplicity, media reports said.
Orban, who is on a vacation with his family in Kerala for the last few days, hit headlines when he travelled in an autorickshaw in Fort Kochi.
Orban’s photo with a few autorickshaw crew made him more popular in God’s Own country.
Accompanied by a Keralite running an Ayurveda centre in Hungary, Orban exclusively told a Hungarian media Blikk.
that he was fully healthy and dismissed rumours that he was unwell.
Orban was in Fort Kochi as Vasco da Gama, whom he loved as a favourite explorer, died in Kochi.
He praised India for galopping economically and was on the verge of explosive development.
He told Blikk, “…If you want luxury, go to an Austrian ski resort or the Bahamas. If you are interested in culture, come to India!”
Orban and family visited Alappuzha’s Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja temple where serpents are worshiped.
Orban, who is expected to visit Alappuzha backwaters, Thekkady wildlife sanctuary and Munnar, is scheduled to leave Kerala by January 16.
