IAS officer compulsorily retired

Kochi: IAS officer Rinku Dugga has been compulsorily retired from service “in public interest”, media reports said.
A 1994 batch officer of Arunachal-Goa-Mizoram-Union cadre, Dugga was removed from service under 16(3) of the All India Services (DeathCum-Retirement Benefits) Rules after reviewing her performance, the reports said.
Dugga and her IAS officer husband Sanjeev Khirwar were accused of forcing sportspersons to suspend their training to enable the couple to walk their dog in a stadium in Delhi.
The action was taken based on her overall track record and is not specifically related to the dog-walking incident, media reports quoting official sources said.
It was for this reason Khirwar was not taken to task.
Another departmental enquiry against them is pending, the reports said.
Dugga was posted at Arunachal Pradesh when she was shown the door while Khirwar was in Ladakh.
