Kochi: Iran used drones to target Bahrain while a ship in the Strait of Hormuz separately came under attack on Saturday, media reports said.
The attack comes amidst Iran and the US reaching an interim deal to try to agree on a final accord to end the conflict.
The US had on Friday struck Iran in response to an Iranian drone attack on a ship trying to get out of the strait on Thursday.
Bahrain, which is home to the US Navy’s 5th Fleet, condemned the Iran attacks on it.
Meanwhile, the British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations centre confirmed that a tanker was attacked on Saturday in the strait. The crew was safe and no environmental damage was reported.
