Kochi: As part of its retaliatory attack, Israel struck Iranian military targets, media reports said.
All Israeli planes have returned safely to its air bases at home, the reports said.
Israel said it had conducted “precise strikes on military targets” in Iran. Blasts were heard in Tehran.
The Israel Defense Forces said that the strikes were in response to “continuous attacks” from Iran”.
Military bases in the west and south west of the Iranian capital have been targeted, the reports said.
Iranian media denyied the attacks causing any real damage, the reports said.
Meanwhile, the US has advised Iran to desist from retaliating.
On April 1, Israel bombed an Iranian consulate complex in Damascus, Syria killing some senior Iranian officials.
In retaliation, Iran and its proxies seized the Israeli-linked ship MSC Aries and launched strikes inside Israel on April 13. Israel then carried out retaliatory strikes in Iran and Syria on April.19.
