Kochi: Tamil Nadu Chief Vijay has been hailed by legendary actor Kamal Hassan while his contemporary Rajinikanth has kept mum by just extending best wishes to Thalapathi.
This will make the public doubt whether Rajinikanth will make a rethinking to test waters in politics.
Kamal extended his support to Vijay and lauded his decision to shut 717 liquor shops.
Announcing his retirement from films Vijay said that Jana Nayagan is waiting for a CBFC certificate for release.
Kamal, who has been in politics since 2018 after launching his political party Makkal Needhi Mayyam (MNM), is a member of Rajya Sabha.
On the other hand, superstar Rajinikanth did not elaborate on Vijay’s ascension and posted on that “My congratulations to Thiru Vijay, President of the victorious Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and to the members of his party, on their resounding victory in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election.
Rajinikanth was about to launch his political party when he fell sick and backed out of the decision.
