Kochi: Kerala made history by entering finals of the Ranji Trophy for the first time beating Gujarat on Friday.
Kerala got the advantage of having two runs lead first-innings lead in the semifinal in Ahmedabad.
Kerala won the toss and made 457 runs in the first innings.
A glorious 177 from M Azharuddin added glow to Kerala’s total.
In reply Gujarat made 455 out of which Priyank Panchal made 148.
Kerala’s spin duo of Aditya Sarwate and Jalaj Saxena took eight wickets.
Kerala will face Vidarbha in the finals.
