Madrasas shut in PoK

Kochi: All Islamic seminaries in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir have been closed temporarily fearing strikes by India after terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam in Kashmir, media reports said.
The Madrasas, which will be closed for 10 days, are being used to train people to deal with eventualities in the wake of an attack by India, media reports said.
Pakistan is foreseeing an imminent attack by India soon.
There are 445 registered seminaries where over 26,000 students are enrolled in POK.
Pakistan is preparing to retaliate to any military action from India, sending concern across the world as the two are nuclear-armed countries.
PoK was part of Jammu and Kashmir ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh who acceded to India by signing an Instrument of Accession on October 26, 1947 after Pakistan plotted an uprising with the help of tribals soon after Independence in 1947.
India repulsed Pakistan led militants when the United Nations intervened and initiated a cease fire treaty in 1947. Since then the intruders are occupying 13,297 square kms of an area which legally belongs to India.
