Kochi: The 6.1″ tall ambidextrous England Test skipper Benjamin Andrew Stokes, or Ben Stokes, quit One Day International (ODI) cricket despite his outstanding form and performance in this format.
The New Zealand born English player made 84 to help his team become victorious in the 2019 World Cup.
In 104 ODIs, Ben has an average of 39.45 and a strike rate of 95.27. His highest score in ODI is 102. He has taken 74 wickets in this format.
Son of a rugby player, Ben migrated from New Zealand to England when he was12.
The 31-year-old ambidextrous player bats left-handed, but bowls right arm fast medium. Ben, who debuted in 2013, has attributed his inability to deliver 100 percent to the game in this format.
