Thrissur: Educationist Ms. Nalini Chandran’s autobiography’s cover reveal was solemnised at Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School Auditorium in Thrissur the other day. The book is titled ‘Defining Destiny’.
British-born Indian writer Padmashri awardee Pepita Seth released the book cover. Nalini Chandran said at the function that the success of the children who studied in her school was her biggest achievement. The school, which started with six students in 1978, endured innumerable challenges to reach its present glory, she added. Nalini is the founder principal and director.
The first part of the biography dwells on 84-year-old Nalini’s childhood memories, college life and family life with her husband, who was a defence person. The second part is mainly on her life as an educationalist. Her eldest daughter Deepti Menon and a former senior teacher of Hari Sri, Kalpana Ramesh, have co-authored the book.
Logos Books in Pattambi will be publishing the biography which runs up to nearly 500 pages. The book launch will be held next month. Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi Trust president T G Chandrakumar, former MLA Chandramohan, Ajith of Logos Books, alumnus Gokul Mohan Arakkal, faculty members Veena Girishkumar, Simi Menon, College CEO Unniraja IPS among others took part.
