Kochi: A senior official in Karnataka was suspended for “dereliction of duty” during a
ground water recharging function of Chief Minister Sidharamaiah in Mysuru, media reports said.
C N Sridhar, Managing Director, Mysore Electricity board was taken to task for a snag in a switch that failed to work when used by the Chief Minister to inaugurate the project in
Periyapattana taluk in Mysuru the other day.
A video showing Siddaramaiah struggling to use the faulty switch using a rubber glove on one hand had caused embarrassment to the Chief Minister.

Sridhar for causing “embarrassment to the Chief Minister and the government because of his negligence”.
Siddaramaiah had inaugurated the project programme to fill 150 lakes from the Cauvery river in Muttina Mullusoge village.
