Kochi: A youth who was engaged organ trafficking racket for the last five years wasarrested here, media reports said.The Thrissur native Sabith Nasser was nabbed at Nedumbassery Airport while coming from Iran via Kuwait.
Sabith promised financial help to people in need of money and took them abroad to remove their organs in a hospital in Iran.The police suspect involvement of international mafia in the racket. The central agencies have started a probe into the crime. The accused started as a donor and became part of the mafia in 2019. Sabith separated from his wife and was living mostly in Iran and with his sister in India.
