Pak can’t play ASC cup

Kochi: Pakistan cannot participate in Azlan Shah Cup (ASC) hockey tournament as
the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF)
owes 10,349 dollars to the organisers Johar Hockey Association in Malaysia.
The Johar Hockey Association has formally notified the PHF about the outstanding debt incurred during Pakistan team’s visit to Malaysia in October 2023.
The expenditure was incurred by Pakistan hockey team, PHF officials and their families during their visit to Malaysia.
These officials also stayed at the same luxury hotel where the teams were staying.
The Johar Hockey Association has warned of further action with the FIH if the payments remain unsettled.
The current PHF President and his team are in a fix as the federation is cash strapped and they were not aware of the Pakistan’s outstanding expenses.
The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament will take place in Ipoh from November 22nd to 29th.
