Kochi: Another cross border marriage is going to happen early next year between Javeria Khanum of Karachi Sameer Khan in Kolkata, media reports said.After securing a 45-day visa, the 21-year-old Javeria arrived India through the Wagah border where she was welcomed by her fiancé and his father Ahmed Kamal Khan Yousafzai amidst beating of ‘dhol’, the reports said.
Speaking to the media, Khan thanked the government of India for the cooperation. “Borders do not matter when the intentions are pure,” said Sameer. Javeria said she and everyone at home were happy to get the visa after a wait of five years.
It was a journalist and social worker, Maqbool Ahmed Wasi Qadian, who helped Javeria in securing the visa. Qadian has helped many Pakistani brides in getting visas.The marriage will happen in the first week of January next year. Following the marriage she will apply for a long-term visa.Sameer, who studied in Germany, saw her photo in 2018 and fell for her and it is going to become a reality, the reports said.
