Kochi: Former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of CPM was on Thursday spotted as the Opposition Leader in Kerala Assembly.
The CPM state committee meeting zeroed in on Vijayan as the new opposition leader.
The CPM general secretary M A Baby, Pinarayi Vijayan and senior leader A Vijayaraghavan attended the meeting presided over by K Radhakrishnan.
CPM – led Left Democratic Front has a total number of 35 MLAs out of the 140 seats.
Congress-led UDF won the election winning 102 seats.
