SFI students can’t write exams

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has quashed an earlier order permitting suspended communist outfit SFI to appear in examinations scheduled to commence on Wednesday.A division bench of the court quashed the single bench order which allowed left front students to write examinations. The Bench issued the order on an appeal filed by Sree Sankaracharya University and its vice-chancellor challenging the Single Judge’s order, media reports said. The division bench of the court noted that the Single Judge had passed the order without hearing from the university.Sixteen students were suspended on September 1, 2026, pending inquiry about allegations regarding a mock cremation of Vice-Chancellor Ciza Thomas which the SFI denies.
