Kochi: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for objecting to Congress government’s action against illegal encroachments in Bengaluru, media reports said.
Shivakumar advised Pinarayi to not meddle with issues in Karnataka.
He described Vijayan’s remarks as a political gimmick ahead of elections.
Shivakumar asserted that the land was government property intended for a dumping yard.
The government plans to rehabilitate eligible displaced persons, he said.
Shiv Kumar dismissed allegations of Congress government targeting minorities.
The drive was strictly against illegal encroachments on government land, he said.
Karnataka government cleared
