Kochi: The BJP has warned of consequences for Kerala’s Muslim League backed Congress government skipping the rendering of the National song at all venues on Independence Day.
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said the decision not to play Vande Mataram in state function in Thiruvananthapuram and Congress office in New Delhi was taken by Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and his mother of Congress.
Kerala not playing the National Song and Sonia Gandhi allegedly attempting to hinder its rendition in the party office in New Delhi was not a coincidence.
Kerala Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan of CPM had also opposed playing of Vande Mataram which showed they were nursing naxalism in their brain.
The protocol brought out by the state government was directed to play only the National Anthem.
