Kochi: The Kerala High Court has stayed the appointment of four nominees to the Kerala University Senate by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, media reports said.
Issuing interim stay, the court sent notices to the four students appointed by the Governor.
The court decision comes in the wake of a few students of the Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, disputing the appointment made by the Governor.
The petitioners accused the Governor of rejecting the list of names of better qualified students.
There are allegations that 17 of 19 Senate nominees in the senate are BJP supporters, the reports said.
