Kochi: US president Joe Biden has offered to send military doctors to six states in the US where Corona cases are on a surge due to the Omicron variant.
Biden has offered free high quality masks in these states to protect citizens from the virus and conduct 500 million rapid tests, media reports said.
One third of the people reportedly do not wear masks, he said.
The government will deploy 1000 military health care workers across the country due to a shortage of staff from next week.
Biden said the situation was frustrating in the beginning of new year but it was a ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated.’
The Supreme Court has halted Biden’s vaccination mandate in large businesses with the conservative justices dissenting the mandate. Biden stated that he was ‘disappointed’ over it.
