Kochi: At least 11 passengers were killed and many injured when they were run over by Karnataka Express near Paranda railway station in Bhusawal division in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district on Tuesday, media reports said.
The victims were walking on the track after getting down from Pushpak Express which was allegedly stopped by chain pulling.
Initial reports said that passengers of Pushpak Express panicked as rumours spread about a fire in the train leading to
the chain pulling.
