Kochi: Smart Creations CEO Pankaj Bhandari and jewellery owner Govardhan were arrested today by Kerala High Court set up a Special Investigation Team to probe Sabarimala gold looting, Mathrubhumi reported.
Investigators said the arrests followed evidence suggesting their involvement in the tampering and illegal handling of gold taken from Sabarimala.
Prime accused Unnikrishnan Potti had told the SIT that the gold clad artefacts were taken to Smart Creations office where gold was separated.
Bhandari had been questioned twice before the arrest of Unnikrishnan Potti.
Unnikrishnan Potti was in constant contact with both Bhandari and Govardhan regarding the handling of the gold and the two were present during its separation.
Govardhan had introduced Unnikrishnan Potti to Smart Creations.
