Kochi: Congress leader Uma Thomas, MLA, was seriously injured after tripping down during an event in Kochi on Sunday, media reports said.
She was rushed to a hospital where she is currently on a ventilator, hospital authorities said.
She sustained head and lung injuries, with signs of blood clots. Further investigation is on by the doctors who are closely monitoring her condition. They also suspected Uma siffering injuries to her spinal cord. She is currently under 24-hour observation.
The incident happened during a Guinness World Record attempt at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor, where 12,000 dancers were performing.
