Woman splashes acid on male friend
Kochi: A youth from Thiruvananthapuram lost sight on one eye when a woman splashed acid on his face annoyed over his refusal to marry her at Idukki, media reports said.
The incident occurred a few days back this month at Adimali. The youth Arun Kumar from Poojapura came to know Sheeba through social media.
Their friendship grew stronger and finally they decided to get married. It was at this time the Arun learned that she was married and had two children.
Shocked to know the reality, Arun changed his decision which provoked Sheeba who called him to Adimali and allegedly threw acid on his face.
During the process she also suffered burn injuries, the reports said.
Arun got initial medical support in a hospital in Adimali and later at Thiruvananthapuram.
The woman went underground and was arrested on Saturday, reports said.
