Kochi: Close on the heels of a Bengali actress accusing filmmaker Ranjith of sexual misconduct, a man from Kozhikode has leveled similar charges against the acclaimed film personality, media reports said.
The person has lodged a complaint against Ranjith accusing him of sexually abusing him in a hotel in Bengaluru in 2012.
Talking to Asianet News, he alleged that he met Ranjith on the set of the film ‘Bavuttiyude Namathil’ and sought a break in his film. The director asked him to meet him in Bengaluru.
The complainant alleged that when he met Ranjith in the hotel, the filmmaker was in an inebriated condition and offered alcohol to him and later abused him.
Also, Ranjith did not give him a break.
A Bengali actress had made allegations against Ranjith a few days back after which Ranjith resigned as chief of Kerala Chalachitra Academy. Police are investigating the actress’ allegations.
