Kochi: Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Mohanlal’s mother, Santhakumari, 90, died at his house in Elamakkara here on Tuesday.
She was bedridden due to paralysis for some time now.
Her husband Viswanathan Nair and another son Pyarelal predeceased her. Hailing from Elanthoor in Pathanamthitta, the family moved to Thiruvananthapuram years ago as Nair was employed in Kerala government as law secretary. Santhakumari, who lived at the family home in Thiruvananthapuram, Mohanlal was brought to Kochi after she suffered paralysis. Santhakumari, celebrated her 90th birthday on August 10, 2025, in Kochi.
