Kochi: Senior CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan resumed his duties as the secretary of the state unit of CPM today.
The decision of Kodiyeri’s return to the post was taken by the CPM state secretariat at Thiruvananthapuram today.
Kodiyeri had proceeded on leave on November 13, 2020 due to his ill health
following which A Vijayaraghavan took over the charge as acting secretary of the state unit.
His temporary exit coincided with the arrest of his son Binish Kodiyeri by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an alleged illegal financial case.
His son was in a Bengaluru jail for the last one year and secured a bail recently.
