as Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and leading readymade exporter Sabu Jacob’s Twenty20 are reported to planning to field a common candidate in the polls.
AAP’s tremendous victory in the recent Punjab elections have made big impact across the country.
Twenty20 on the other hand has grown steeply in just six years during which it wiped out mainline political fronts in Kizhakkambalam in 2015.
In the recent local bodies Twenty20 added three more panchayats to its kittties.
These developments cannot be ignored by the mainline political parties.
UDF has won all elections after the formation of the constitution in 2011.
P T Thomas retained the constituency in 2021 when there was a wave in favour of LDF.
Trikkakkara is one of the 24 divisions that constitutes the constituency.
