Kochi: The DNA test conducted on the over one-year-old boy confirmed that the infant belonged to Anupama and Ajith.
The toddler will be handed over to them after completing proper procedures. Anupama and Ajith expressed extreme happiness over their fight turning out to be a success.
However, Anupama said that her protest in front of the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare office in support of her demands included expulsion of its chairperson N Sunanda and General Secretary Shiju Khan for displacing her son.
The boy was given to a teacher couple in Andhra Pradesh allegedly violating the adoption procedures.
Anupama’s sustained fight against her parents and other relatives seeking her son back kicked up a big political turmoil in the state as her father, a CPM leader, was allegedly helped by others to displace the boy.
With the matter coming up before judiciary, media and public domain, the government swung into action to redress the matter.
Moreover, the matter was causing embarrassment to the party as Ajith and Anupama, who were left leaders, were slinging mud on Anupama’s father, and other CPM leaders including Shiju Khan.
A four-member team from Kerala brought the infant back home on Monday.
The DNA test was conducted at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Biotechnology.
her son.
Last year Anupama begot the child through her partner Ajith who was married which was not to the liking of her parents.
