Kochi: Seven people were killed, and five others were injured due to multiple avalanches hitting the Srinagar-Leh National Highway on Friday, media reports said.
Close to a dozen cars were buried under the snow.
The avalanches hit the stretch between Zero Point, situated at Zojila Pass in Ladakh, and Minimarg in the afternoon. Ladakh Lieutenant Governor, V K Saxena, was personally monitoring the situation
