Kochi: A teenager from Kerala student was seriously injured during a fight during the BSE South Zone Taekwondo competition on 3rd August in Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The injured Plus Two student Faiz Abdul Jalal, 17, of a private English-medium school in Thrissur, is currently on ventilator support, media reports said.
The family alleged that the referee failed to follow rules requiring the official to move along with the contestants and remain within a distance of two metres of them.
The family is planning to take legal action in the matter. A complaint has been lodged with the CBSE.
