Kochi: Finally the Centre has granted permission to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his team to the US and Cuba from June 8 to 18.
Earlier, the centre had refused permission for Pinarayi to visit UAE May 7 to 11.
Pinarayi is visiting the US to attend a function organised by Loka Kerala Sabha coinciding with the completion of the second year of the LDF coming to Power. NORKA vice chairman P Sreeramakrishnan will take part in the function.
The Chief Minister has plans to hold talks with officials of the World Bank.
Speaker A N Shamsheer, Minister K N Balagopal and other officials will visit the US while Health Minister Veena George and other officials will join the team in Cuba.
