Kochi: Real Estate major, Confident Group Chief C J Roy was found at his Langford Road bungalow in Bengaluru on Friday, media reports said.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Akshay Hakay, confirmed the death to The News Minute.
Roy was rushed to a private hospital and then shifted to Narayana Hospital at HSR layout, but was confirmed dead.
Confident Projects (India) Pvt Ltd has been involved in tax litigation with the Income Tax Department in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and Karnataka High Court over assessment and tax issues. These include disputes over tax assessments and appellate proceedings.
A native of Guruvayur in Thrissur in Kerala, Roy has also produced Malayalam films, including Mohanlal’s big-budget movie Casanova in 2012.
Further details about Roy’s death and post-mortem proceedings are awaited.
