Kochi: The High Court of Kerala has found discrepancies in income and expenditure of the finances of Global Ayyappa meet at Sabarimala.
There was no proper accounting and tendering during the meet. The court has sought clarification from Travancore Devaswom in this regard.
The Court will hear the case after 10 days.
Despite the organisers claim of getting Rs 4.25 crore through sponsorships, the TDB allocated Rs 2 crore towards expenses.
Present TDB president K Jayakumar said the financial accounts of the global meet must be settled urgently. The Board needs to clarify how donations received from devotees and sponsorship funds were utilised. He said the matter will be discussed at the TDB meeting on February 17.
