Cong fails to pick Kerala CM

Kochi: In a major humiliation, the Congress failed to find a Chief Ministerial candidate in Kerala after hours long discussion.
The chief minister contenders Ramesh Chennithala, K C Venugopal and V D Satheesan refused to budge resulting in the deadlock, Asianet News reported.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition, is upset over the adamancy of the leaders in sacrificing their claim. Party General Secretary K C Venugopal, Former Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala and outgoing Opposition Leader V D Satheesan were flayed by Rahul during the meeting in the residence of party chief Mallikarjuna Kharge in New Delhi.
He warned leaders over their uncompromising stand.
Kharge said that it was not possible to name the candidate
unless there was a consensus on the issue.
High Command urged the supporters of the contenders to end the show of strength.
