Kochi: Congress leader Imran Masood condoled the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by calling on Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, the India-based representative of Khamenei, The Hindu reported.

Khamenei as a “sad event”.
Iran has stood with India and the two countries shared historical relations for centuries.
“He was an exceptionally knowledgeable and competent individual who had a profound understanding of India,” Masood told The Hindu.
