Kochi: The Kerala Police have rejected jailed Reporter Channel promoter Anto Augustine plea seeking a date after October 5 to appear for questioning in connection with allegedly abusing Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan.The Police had summoned him to appear on September 28 when Anto failed to appear, Asianet news reported.Reporter Broadcasting Company managing director Anto was asked to appear before Kalamassery police in Ernakulam to question him in connection with baseless allegations that V D Satheesan had married for a second time.The police had recorded the statement of Congress spokesperson Raju P Nair, who had filed the complaint against Augustine. The police have registered a case against Augustine and two unidentified people. The case pertains to a revelation made by Augustine that two people had met him with what they claimed was a journalistic scoop on Satheesan’s alleged second marriage. He claimed that his channel did not telecast the news after his team could not verify the allegation. The police have registered the case under various Sections relating to alleged conspiracy and forgery.
