Kochi: The Bishop House of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese witnessed unpleasant scenes when police evicted priests who were observing a peaceful fast at Bishop’s house in the wee hours of Saturday.
This led to the supporters of the priests rushing to the spot and engaging in heated arguments with the police who evicted the priests who were protesting against suspension of a few priests for not obeying the church management over performing unified mass.The Bishop Bosco Puthur, the Apostolic Administrator of the Archeparchy of Ernakulam-Angamaly, had relieved vicars of different churches the other days.
The protesters had a heated argument with Central ACP C Jayakumar, who had arrived for a mediation attempt.
