Kochi: At least nine people were killed and more than 25 injured
when samples of explosives seized from Faridabad exploded at Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar
when cops were examining it late Friday night, Times of India reported.
The blast occurred when authorities were extracting samples from a large cache of explosives from the Faridabad terror module case, officials said on Saturday.
Search for those feared trapped under the rubble is continuing.
Body parts were found as far as 300 feet from the site.
Police are investigating an accident and possible terror strike.
The explosion happened while policemen and forensic teams were handling the explosive material brought from Faridabad.
