India eves in WC finals

Kochi: Powered by an unbeaten 127 by Jemimah Rodrigues, India made a record run chase to beat defending champion Australia by five wickets to enter the finals of women’s World Cup at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai today.
India will lock horns with South Africa in the finals on November 2.
Winning the toss, Australia decided to bat first to make a formidable 338 all out in 49.5 overs.
E Perry made 77 and A Gardener 63.
For India, Charni and D Sharma took two wickets each while K Gaud, A Kaur, R Yadav took one each.
Chasing a winning target of 339, India made 341 losing only 5 wickets in 48.3 overs.
Rodrigues, who made an unbeaten 127, was ably backed by H Kaur who made a valuable 89 runs.
