Kejriwal in judicial custody

Kochi: A Delhi court on Monday sent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to 14 days judicial custody after the end of his custody with the ED which had  arrested him in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, media reports said.

The ED told Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court that it was not asking for further remand on the basis of Senthil Balaji judgment by Supreme Court.

The ED claimed that Kejriwal’s conduct in the lock-up was “non-cooperative”.

Arvind Kejriwal has prayed before the court to provide him Bhagavad Geeta, Ramayan and the book How Prime Ministers Decide in jail.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and was sent to its custody till March 28. It was extended by four days.
