Kochi: Separatist leader Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with funding terror acts and engaging in criminal conspiracy.
An NIA Court in Delhi delivered the verdict after he was found guilty of charges.
The NIA had pleaded death penalty for Yasin.
A fine of Rs 10 lakh was slapped on him.
He asked if he was a terrorist why he was given a passport.
He said he was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and had given up violence inn1994.
Meanwhile, violence activities were reported in Kashmir against his arrest.
