Kochi: Former Government Chief Whip P C George was remanded by a court for 14 days for violating bail conditions imposed by the court while hearing a hate speech case.
He will be sent to Poojapura District jail.
Police’s plea seeking George’s police custody will be heard on May 30.

George was arrested for making hate speech at Ananthapuri Hindu Mahasammelanam at Thiruvananthapuram a few days back. Later he was arrested and released on conditional bail.
A few days after his release he made a similar hate speech at a temple festival in Vennala, Ernakulam, following which the Palarivattom police registered a case against him.
He moved the Kerala High Court for an anticipatory bail. The court granted him conditional interim bail until May 26.
